MSC-1 uses a dedicated electrochemical sensor designed to measure carbon monoxide with precision and stability over time. Inside the sensing chamber, CO molecules react with the sensor electrodes, creating a small electrical signal that directly corresponds to the CO concentration in the air.

This signal is processed, temperature-compensated, and converted into an exact ppm reading, displayed on MSC-1 built-in LCD and in your Matter-connected smart home apps.

    No. Remote silencing is currently not supported.

    For safety reasons, most smart home ecosystems do not allow smoke or carbon monoxide alarms to be silenced remotely. Alarm silencing must be performed locally on the device.

  • How does self test work? Can it be triggered remotely?

    MSC-1 includes a built-in self test function that checks core electronics and the alarm sound.

    Whether self test can be triggered remotely depends on the smart home platform and its user interface. Some platforms, such as Home Assistant, expose a self test control that allows it to be triggered through the app. Other ecosystems may not display a dedicated self test UI even though the device supports the function.

  • Does MSC-1 support interlinking between alarms?

    Interlinking between alarms is not currently supported.
